life’s little: look here’s

Do you ever have those, “this is exactly what I need” moments?

I am at a point in my life where I know I need to orchestrate a shift in my perspective if I am to take more intentional action everyday toward helping others. And today, at just the moment when I was ready to recieve it, life handed me a great big, “look here.”

I am one to find significance in the seemingly insignificant, so when I clicked on LisaNova’s most recent YouTube video titled “HELP!!! if you can”, I couldn’t help but connect a week’s long thread of “look here’s” with one clear message: Be in service to your fellow man.

LisaNova’s 2 min long video is a play on world wide reality awareness vs reality tv obsession, and draws attention to world concerns as well as to a new channel on YouTube called “VideoVolunteers.” The vision behind YouTube Video Volunteers is to help content creators like you and I ”find a nonprofit organization that needs help creating videos to promote its cause.”

In August, The Fiesta Movement’s Mission theme is Social Activism, and Mission Control is open to approving mission suggestions. My hope is to combine both efforts, so if you have any ideas, please contact me!

We’ve all heard phrases like, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” and “It is better to give than to receive.” and as simple and familiar as these phrases are, they a rich with wisdom, and exactly the kind of reminder I needed today.
